Keep your domain and Google

Your domain, such as yourbusiness.com, stays with the company where you bought it. You do not move it to us. You only add one or two records there that point your website to Tsurito.

To use your own domain, your website needs a subscription. Read Pay for a website and Use your own domain.

  1. Bring your website over and check every page on your computer.
  2. Publish it. It goes on our free address first, so you can see it on the internet.
  3. Start its subscription in “Online”.
  4. Connect your domain in “Online”, under “Domains”.
  5. Check your website at your own domain.

Your domain shows your new website once the records are in place at your domain provider. Until then, it shows what it showed before.

Your new website is made to be read well by search engines:

  • its pages are fast;
  • it has a list of its pages for search engines, at /sitemap.xml;
  • every page has its own title and description.

When you move, search engines need some time to read your new pages.

The addresses of your pages may change. For example, /about-us/ on your old website may become /about/ on your new one. Old links in search results may then lead to a page that is not found for a while. Tsurito does not send old addresses on to the new ones.
